Introducing Carla Charrier-Bablitz, the visionary force behind Utopian Interiors, charting a new path in the realm of design innovation since its inception in January 2023. Carla has a diverse background that she is able to draw upon to advance Utopian Interiors. She is a classically trained Interior Designer, having received her degree in Interior Design at Southern Technical College in Fort Myers. She's also a professional photographer, certified home stager, and published author. With unwavering dedication, Carla has meticulously laid the groundwork, sculpting a foundation that embodies the company's ethos. Her vision was to craft a design firm utilizing cutting-edge technology and project management tools while upholding the time-tested traditions of the interior design industry.
Carla derived the name Utopian Interiors from the concept of utopia being inherently subjective. Understanding that each person perceives utopia uniquely, our role as designers is to uncover and bring to life the vision of an ideal living space for our clients. This involves not only grasping the client's personal style but also comprehending how they intend to use the space, ultimately crafting a functional design that aligns with their needs. For instance, Carla's personal utopian vision embodies a moody organic modern aesthetic complemented by an earthy color palette and accented by subtle pops of muted color. In her ideal home, emphasis is placed on natural forms and textures creating an atmosphere of serene harmony within the space, which is ideal for her busy family.

Meet Claudia Venon, a visionary who's design career transcends mere passion, into the realm of legacy. Her journey into the world of design was ignited by her grandfather, who was involved in the design field as an import-exporter of fine china and crystal from Europe. Furthermore, her father contributed to the design world as a set designer for CBS and as a package/product designer with his own firm in New York City. Carrying the passion inherited from them, she began her career in the Philadelphia area, initially working as an event designer. This experience drove her to pursue formal education in design and business at the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science and Stockton College. Colleagues would describe her as a versatile and accomplished interior designer with a unique blend of skills that extend beyond traditional design.
When it comes to design work for her clients, she is happiest when she can be challenged with a variety of styles to design in. Her design philosophy not only reflects her diverse expertise in textiles, horticulture, culinary arts, and event design but also resonates with her innate ability to weave individual stories into each project, capturing the essence of her clients' desires and the natural world's brilliance. One notable example was when she was designing a clients bridge room. They already owned a vibrant pop art queen of hearts print, which served as Claudia's creative spark. Drawing from this, she skillfully curated an ambiance using an Ombre paint finish and intricately detailed 3D heart prints, infusing the room with artistic depth and a uniquely personalized touch. As a whole it ended up being a fun, creative project that she reflects fondly on.
